Bliss Production Guard Merchant Terms

Effective September 23, 2026

These Merchant Terms govern a merchant's use of Bliss Production Guard. By accepting them on behalf of a Shopify store, the person accepting confirms that they have authority to bind that merchant. The Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum are incorporated into these Terms.

Service

Production Guard checks selected custom-order lines against requirements configured by the merchant. It can show review issues, record corrections or exceptions, create production cards, and, only after separate safety setup, request holds on eligible merchant-managed fulfillment orders.

Important limitations

Checks occur after checkout and do not validate orders at checkout or physically stop manufacturing. A present value is not proof that it is correct, and a file reference is not proof that artwork is usable. A hold can affect the whole eligible fulfillment order, including lines without an issue. Merchants remain responsible for reviewing results and for their production and fulfillment decisions.

Merchant responsibilities

The merchant will configure accurate requirements, limit staff access, review flagged work, maintain lawful notices and permissions for information submitted by its customers, and use the service in accordance with applicable law and Shopify's terms. The merchant must not submit prohibited or unnecessary sensitive information through custom-order fields.

Subscriptions and cancellation

Paid plans are billed through Shopify and may include a trial. Plan prices and allowances are shown in Shopify before approval. If a subscription ends, monitoring of new work may stop, but safety, privacy, export, and release access for existing app-created holds is not conditioned on payment.

Acceptable use

The merchant will not use the service unlawfully; attempt to bypass access controls; interfere with the service; introduce malicious code; reverse engineer the service except where that restriction is prohibited by law; or use the service to store sensitive information that is unnecessary for the production workflow. Bliss may suspend access needed to prevent harm, protect data, or comply with law.

Ownership and feedback

The merchant retains its rights in merchant and customer data. Bliss retains its rights in Production Guard, its software, documentation, and service improvements. The merchant grants Bliss only the rights needed to process merchant data under these Terms and the Data Processing Addendum. Feedback may be used without identifying the merchant or disclosing merchant data.

Termination and data handling

The merchant may end use by cancelling through Shopify and uninstalling the app. Bliss may terminate or suspend the service for a material breach, unlawful use, security risk, or discontinuation of the service. Privacy, ownership, payment, disclaimer, liability, and other provisions that by their nature should survive will survive. Data is handled after termination as described in the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Bliss disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Production Guard is an operational aid, not legal, accounting, safety, or professional production advice. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data. Bliss's aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the fees paid for Production Guard by the affected merchant during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

General

These Terms, the Data Processing Addendum, the Privacy Policy, and the plan terms approved in Shopify form the agreement for Production Guard. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Neither party may assign the agreement without the other party's consent, except in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of substantially all relevant assets.

Availability and changes

Bliss may maintain, improve, or discontinue features and will use reasonable care in operating the service. Material legal-term changes require acceptance of a new version before continued protected-data processing through the app.
